  • June 17, 1999: JeffCo Commissioners deny the proposed 300-foot guyed tower for Mt. Morrison.
    Primary reason for JeffCo planner’s recommendation for denial are not compatible with the Scenic corridor.
    Bear Creek Development executive Kathryn Isenberger testifies that she was the first to promote Mount
    Morrison as an alternative to antennas on Lookout Mountain.

    deals with
    “The FCC order violates the agency’s own rules,
    violates the National Environmental Policy Act, the Historic
    Preservation Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the
    Constitution Rights of residents of CARE to due process.” As
    of September 2006, a court has still not provided a decision.

  • July 13, 1999: LCG Supertower is denied by County
    Commissioners
    after hearing rebuttal from LCG attorney
    Tom Raganetti, radiology professor Dr. Gerald
    Bushberg
    of University of California, epidemiologist from
    University of Alabama Dr. Philip Cole, and forensics
    structure analyst Dr. Howard Hill. Citizens were not
    allowed to testify.
